ACC Limited, a member of the Adani Portfolio, is one of India's oldest and most prominent manufacturers of cement, ready-mix concrete, and advanced building materials. Established on August 1, 1936, through the historic merger of eleven cement companies, the organization was originally known as The Associated Cement Companies Limited before rebranding in 2006. Following a landmark acquisition in May 2022, control shifted from the Swiss Holcim Group to the Adani Group, with ACC now operating as a key subsidiary of Ambuja Cements Limited. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the company serves as a vital backbone for India’s infrastructure, housing, and commercial construction sectors, supplying major national projects like the Atal Setu, Chenab River Arch Bridge, and Mumbai Coastal Road. The core operations of ACC are structured primarily around two major business segments: cement manufacturing and ready-mix concrete production. As a leading player in the building materials industry, the company has successfully scaled its infrastructure through a combination of organic expansions and strategic integrations, including the acquisition of Orient Cement. By 2026, the company’s total cement manufacturing capacity reached approximately 100 to 109 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). This massive production network spans 31 states and Union Territories across India, supported by 24 integrated units and grinding plants, over 102 to 117 ready-mix concrete facilities, 11 bulk cement terminals, and a dedicated logistics network featuring 11 captive ships and multiple jetties. To bring its products to market, ACC leverages a national distribution footprint comprising more than 110,000 channel partners. In response to changing construction demands, ACC is transitioning from a product-centric business model to a service-driven partner for contractors and homebuilders. Its premium brand portfolio includes specialized products such as ACC Gold Water Shield, ACC Suraksha Power, ACC HPC Long Life, and ACC F2R Superfast Cement. Additionally, the company drives digital transformation through its Cement Intelligent Network Operations Centre (CINOC), which utilizes artificial intelligence for operational control, and the ePOD digital sales platform, which has streamlined commercial logistics. ACC also operates the only central technology support center in the Indian cement sector. Financially, ACC Limited is a publicly listed entity trading on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, the company recorded total consolidated revenue from operations of INR 19,958.92 crore and a substantial profit after tax (PAT) of INR 2,336.53 crore. Under the leadership of Chairman Karan Adani and CEO Ajay Kapur, the company places a significant emphasis on environmental sustainability and corporate governance, executing initiatives to optimize thermal energy, integrate waste heat recovery systems, and achieve a low clinker factor of 64% to reduce its overall carbon footprint.
