The core operations of Apollo 24/7 span several critical verticals in digital health services: online doctor consultations, electronic pharmacy delivery, and home diagnostic lab tests. Through its telehealth consultation feature, the platform allows users to safely video call, telephonically connect, or chat with a network of over 7,000 certified medical specialists across more than 100 clinical specialties—including dermatology, gynecology, pediatrics, and general medicine—often facilitating a response in 15 minutes or less. Financially, Apollo 24/7 has scaled rapidly and expanded its market footprint. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Madhivanan Balakrishnan, the platform has grown to accommodate more than 33 million registered users. In a significant corporate development in April 2024, Apollo HealthCo Limited (the parent entity operating Apollo 24/7) entered a binding agreement to raise INR 2,475 crore ($297 million) from global private equity firm Advent International. This strategic investment transaction valued Apollo 24/7 at an standalone enterprise value of INR 14,478 crore. Alongside this funding, a framework agreement was established to integrate Keimed Private Limited, a premier wholesale pharma distributor, into the digital health entity over a phased timeline. This consolidation positions the combined organization as a market leader in the Indian retail health ecosystem, advancing low-cost, reliable, and high-quality healthcare infrastructure across both metropolitan and tier-two regions.
