Expanding its technological boundaries, BEML is currently developing train sets for the Vande Bharat Sleeper platform and high-speed train sets capable of reaching speeds up to 350 kmph. The Defence & Aerospace vertical manufactures critical military hardware, including Tatra-based high-mobility vehicles, recovery vehicles, pontoon bridge systems, tank transportation trailers, and ground support equipment for missile and radar development projects. BEML operates nine state-of-the-art manufacturing units located across Bengaluru, Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), Mysore in Karnataka, and Palakkad in Kerala, alongside its subsidiary Vignyan Industries Limited in Chikmagalur. Backed by extensive R&D facilities, including an Industrial Design Centre in Bengaluru, and led by Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy, BEML remains a key contributor to India’s strategic self-reliance and the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' vision.
