CashKaro, founded in April 2013 by Swati Bhargava and Rohan Bhargava, is India's largest cashback and coupons platform. Headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, the company operates as an intermediary between e-commerce retailers and online shoppers using an affiliate marketing business model. The platform is designed to enhance the online shopping experience by allowing consumers to compare prices, access discount coupons, and earn extra cashback across a wide array of e-commerce sectors, including fashion, electronics, travel, and health. The core mechanics of CashKaro's business model involve partnering with major e-commerce portals and brands such as Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio, and Tata CliQ. When a user redirects from the CashKaro app or website to a partner store and completes a purchase, the retailer pays CashKaro a commission for driving the transaction. CashKaro then shares a significant portion of this commission back with the consumer in the form of real cashback, which can eventually be transferred to a bank account or redeemed as gift cards. This creates a mutually beneficial ecosystem that drives higher volume and traffic quality for advertisers while offering unmatched savings to budget-conscious shoppers. Financially, CashKaro has shown substantial scale and growth. Backed by prominent investors such as Kalaari Capital, Korea Investment Partners, Affle Group, and the late Mr. Ratan Tata, the company has raised approximately $32.5 million over five funding rounds, including a notable INR 130 crore ($15 million) Series C round led by Affle Group. For the fiscal year 2026, CashKaro reported a remarkable 72% year-on-year jump in consolidated revenue from operations, reaching INR 600 crore, while simultaneously narrowing its losses and enabling over INR 10,000 crore in sales to its partner brands. With a growing workforce of nearly 300 employees, CashKaro has expanded its user base to over 20 million registered members and has paid out more than INR 1,000 crores in cashback since its inception. To diversify its market presence, the company also launched EarnKaro, a social deal commerce platform catering to micro-entrepreneurs and resellers. Driven by strong data analytics, a robust IT infrastructure, and user-friendly mobile applications available on iOS and Android, CashKaro continues to dominate the performance-based marketing landscape in India, positioning itself as a comprehensive savings destination for digital consumers.
