Dhruva Space Private Limited is a pioneering, national award-winning Indian aerospace manufacturer and full-stack space engineering solutions provider headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. Founded on November 26, 2012, by Sanjay Srikanth Nekkanti, Abhay Egoor, Krishna Teja Penamakuru, and Chaitanya Dora Surapureddy, the company was established with the strategic vision of leading the privatization of the Indian space sector. Dhruva Space integrates satellite platforms, space-qualified launch deployment mechanisms, and automated ground station software to provide a comprehensive Space-as-a-Service model, serving commercial, governmental, and academic markets globally. The company's core operations are vertically integrated across three primary segments: satellite platforms, launch services, and ground stations. Dhruva Space has space-qualified its proprietary 1U, 3U, and 6U satellite orbital deployers, as well as its 0.5U CubeSats, which successfully debuted onboard the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) PSLV missions. Notably, in November 2022, the company launched two amateur radio communication CubeSats as part of its Thybolt Mission, which completed over 1,000 orbits in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). In January 2024, the company validated its P-30 nanosatellite platform via the LEAP-Technology Demonstrator payload onboard ISRO's PSLV-C58 mission, setting the stage for subsequent commercial imagery and payload validation missions. Dhruva Space operates out of an advanced 22,000 to 28,000 square-foot facility in the Begumpet area of Hyderabad, which features specialized infrastructure including two Class 10,000 cleanrooms, a Helmholtz Cage, mechanical and avionics laboratories, an operational ground station, and a mission control center. To support its rapid growth, the company is constructing a massive 280,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Shamshabad to design, assemble, integrate, and test large-scale spacecraft weighing up to 500 kilograms. The first phase of this multi-year expansion includes a 30,000 square-foot Spacecraft Solar Array Assembly Line. Financially, Dhruva Space is a revenue-generating, unlisted private company that has raised approximately $21.4 million in funding over multiple investment rounds.
