Dixon Technologies (India) Limited is a prominent Indian multinational electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company and stands as India's largest home-grown design-focused contract manufacturer. Headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the company operates as a critical business-to-business (B2B) solutions provider for leading global and domestic brands. Established in 1993 by Sunil Vachani, Dixon began its journey with the manufacturing of color televisions in 1994 and has since evolved into a diversified electronic manufacturing giant, playing a pivotal role in India’s domestic manufacturing expansion and national initiatives like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes. The core operations of Dixon Technologies are broadly divided across several major business segments: mobile phones and EMS, consumer electronics, home appliances, lighting products, and security surveillance systems. In the mobile phones and IT hardware vertical, which has become its largest and fastest-growing segment by revenue, Dixon manufactures feature phones, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and laptops. Through its subsidiary Padget Electronics and various strategic joint ventures, including partnerships with global brands like Vivo and Longcheer, the company has scaled to become one of India's top smartphone manufacturers by shipment volume. In its consumer electronics and home appliances divisions, Dixon acts as a premier Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The company accounts for a significant share of the outsourced manufacturing market in India for products such as LED televisions, smart TVs, washing machines, and refrigerators. It manages extensive production facilities across the country, including major manufacturing plants for LED televisions in Tirupati and washing machines in Dehradun. Dixon serves a vast client roster that includes industry giants like Samsung, Xiaomi, Panasonic, Philips, Bosch, and Godrej. Adapting to evolving market infrastructure, Dixon maintains a dominant position in the lighting electronics market, holding a substantial market share in domestic consumer lighting manufacturing. It produces thousands of variants of LED lamps, battens, downlighters, and smart lighting solutions for major brands such as Signify and Wipro. Additionally, through joint ventures like AIL Dixon Technologies, the company manufactures security surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and digital video recorders. Dixon also provides reverse logistics services, offering specialized repair and refurbishment solutions for set-top boxes, mobile phones, and LED TV panels. Financially, Dixon Technologies is publicly traded on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) following its initial public offering in 2017. For the fiscal year 2024-25, the company experienced a dramatic scale-up, reporting consolidated revenue from operations of ₹38,880 crore and a net income of ₹1,233 crore. Led by Executive Chairman Sunil Vachani, Dixon continues to focus on backward integration, operational excellence, and component localization to further enhance its capabilities and drive India's electronics self-reliance.
