To further enlarge its supply chain capabilities, the company is developing a new $510 million mega-container terminal at Tuna Tekra in Deendayal Port, Gujarat, which will feature a 1.1 km quay and an annual capacity of 2.19 million TEUs. Led by Rizwan Soomar, CEO and Managing Director for the Subcontinent, Central Asia, Levant, and Egypt, alongside Country Manager Hemant Kumar Ruia, the company places strong emphasis on modern infrastructure and sustainability. It leverages advanced digital tools, AI, and automation to offer real-time data analytics and complete visibility over shipments. Committed to greener logistics, DP World India actively works to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 67% compared to road transport by utilizing its rail networks. Furthermore, it is heavily invested in environmental preservation, including restoring over 150 hectares of mangroves across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Kerala to strengthen coastal resilience.
