Emirates Group IT is the specialized information technology division of The Emirates Group, a state-owned international aviation and travel holding company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Headquartered at the Emirates Group Headquarters near Dubai International Airport, the IT business unit serves as the backbone for the group’s core subsidiaries, most notably Emirates airline—the largest carrier in the Middle East—and dnata, one of the world's leading air services providers operating across six continents. The division is responsible for managing a vast and complex digital ecosystem that powers global aviation, logistics, and retail operations. Emirates Group IT oversees an extensive portfolio of more than 300 applications, 40 software products, and hundreds of regional integration points. Its core delivery areas span software engineering, technical product management, digital platforms, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. The IT unit is instrumental in executing large-scale digital transformations, such as deploying Salesforce Commerce Cloud to orchestrate site administration and bookings logic across local sites and B2B travel networks, and executing a multiyear, global rollout of SAP S/4 HANA to modernize enterprise ERP financial structures for both commercial airline functions and ground-handling operations. In addition to core system maintenance, Emirates Group IT drives major commercial and operational innovations. To support the launch of the airline's Premium Economy cabins, the IT division mobilized hundreds of specialists to enhance critical consumer-facing applications, ranging from online check-in and booking engines to baggage allowance architectures. Within logistics and supply chain optimization, the division spearheaded the implementation of OneCargo, an integrated, cloud-based platform utilizing architectures like AWS, Apigee, and SnapLogic to automate regional ground handling and ULD tracking for dnata. Furthermore, the IT group heavily leverages emerging technologies, deploying artificial intelligence and predictive modeling tools within its Enterprise Data Platform to analyze real-time demand, automate catering loading workflows, minimize flight waste, and transition traditional paper operations into localized digital menus across multiple languages. Led by an executive tech leadership team including senior directors in IT Delivery and Quality Assurance, Emirates Group IT continues to scale its operations to support the broader group's massive workforce of over 120,000 employees. By combining agile development methodologies with strong cybersecurity frameworks, the division ensures continuous application uptime and operational resilience for global aviation networks, positioning itself at the forefront of modern travel technology.
