Havells India Limited is a leading Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) company and an Indian multinational electrical equipment manufacturer headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Founded originally in 1958 by Qimat Rai Gupta, who started as an electrical equipment trader in Old Delhi, the company grew dynamically after acquiring the "Havells" brand name from Haveli Ram Gandhi in 1971. It was formally incorporated in 1983. Today, Havells operates as a promoter-led public listed entity under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director Anil Rai Gupta. The company has established an extensive market presence across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. Its comprehensive product portfolio is structurally divided into several major operating segments: Cables and Wires, Lloyd Consumer, Electrical Consumer Durables, Switchgears, Lighting and Fixtures, and Others. Through these verticals, Havells manufactures and distributes industrial and domestic circuit protection devices, low and high-tension flexible cables, induction motors, power capacitors, fans, modular switches, water heaters, and home appliances such as air conditioners, televisions, washing machines, and refrigerators. Havells operates a robust "Make in India" manufacturing infrastructure, producing approximately 90% of its finished goods in-house across 15 state-of-the-art specialized manufacturing facilities. These plants are strategically located throughout India in hubs like Alwar, Neemrana, Ghiloth, Baddi, Tumakuru, Sri City, Faridabad, Sahibabad, and Haridwar. To support continuous product evolution, energy efficiency, and safety standards, the company also operates four dedicated research and development centers. Havells functions as a successful "house of brands," allowing it to effectively cater to diverse consumer segments and pricing tiers. Its prominent brand portfolio includes Havells, Havells Studio, Lloyd (acquired in 2017 to expand into the consumer durables and major white goods market), Crabtree, Standard Electricals, and REO. The company's commercial strength is anchored by an unmatched multi-channel distribution network comprising around 18,000 traditional dealers and distributors, alongside digital e-commerce channels, modern format retail, and dedicated enterprise project teams. Notably, Havells pioneered the exclusive brand showroom concept in the domestic electrical industry, managing over 1,000 exclusive retail outlets known as "Havells Exclusive Brand Stores" (including Galaxy stores and advanced "World of Experience" formats). It has also deeply penetrated rural markets through its "Utsav" store network. Financially, Havells India Limited is publicly listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) under the ticker HAVELLS. It maintains a strong, lean balance sheet with negligible debt. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, the company reported an annual revenue of ₹21,746 crore and a net income of ₹1,489 crore. Employing over 7,500 professionals, Havells has built a global presence, exporting its high-quality electrical solutions to over 50 countries worldwide.
