JM Financial Limited is an integrated and diversified financial services group headquartered in Mumbai, India. Founded in 1973 by Mahendra Kampani and Nimesh Kampani, the firm began as a consultancy practice before incorporating as a stock-broking entity in 1986. Over the decades, JM Financial has evolved into a prominent financial conglomerate, listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in 1991 and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) in 2006 under the ticker JMFINANCIL. Today, the group operates across an expansive domestic network comprising 938 locations across 230 cities, offering specialized financial solutions to corporations, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and retail investors. The core business operations of JM Financial are structured into four primary segments. The Corporate Advisory and Capital Markets division handles investment banking, institutional equities, research, and mergers and acquisitions. In this space, the firm has established a leading position, frequently managing some of India's largest equity capital market transactions, initial public offerings (IPOs), and qualified institutional placements (QIPs). The second pillar, Wealth and Asset Management, caters to retail and ultra-high-net-worth clients by offering comprehensive investment advisory, equity brokerage, portfolio management services (PMS), and mutual fund asset management. The group’s third vertical is Private Markets, which focuses on alternative credit and structured finance. This encompasses distressed credit recovery managed through its Asset Reconstruction Company (ARC), corporate credit, and investments in private equity funds and real estate investment trusts (REITs). The fourth major segment is Affordable Home Loans, representing the company’s retail lending push into housing finance. This affordable housing arm operates an extensive network of 135 branches across 9 states, explicitly serving home buyers who are typically underserved by traditional banking institutions. Financially, JM Financial has demonstrated strong performance, reporting a total consolidated revenue of INR 4,453 crore and a profit after tax (PAT) of INR 821 crore for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. As of late 2025, the group’s total assets under management (AUM) and loan book reached INR 1,52,949 crore, heavily driven by its wealth management franchise. Leadership is driven by Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vishal Kampani, alongside a deep bench of seasoned financial professionals. Through its key operating subsidiaries, including JM Financial Institutional Securities, JM Financial Products, and JM Financial Home Loans, the group combines traditional advisory expertise with modern digital solutions, such as its BlinkX trading platform, ensuring its continued relevance in India's fast-growing financial services sector.
