This inspired them to develop a streamlined, user-friendly software tailored specifically to modern businesses, particularly small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) across India. Headquartered in the major tech hub of Gachibowli in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, Keka has extended its global reach with operational offices and corporate presences in Singapore and Seattle, Washington. The company’s core product offering is an integrated, modular HR platform engineered to automate routine administrative tasks and improve overall employee engagement. Keka's comprehensive suite encompasses several vital business workflows, including core HR operations, payroll processing, and expense tracking, which allows organizations to process payroll efficiently while remaining compliant with local statutory and tax regulations. Additionally, the platform features robust time and attendance tracking modules, custom leave management configurations, and asset tracking. Its talent acquisition and onboarding segment includes an integrated Applicant Tracking System (ATS) designed to streamline resume parsing, applicant screening, and interview scheduling. Beyond daily operational tasks, Keka incorporates performance and culture management tools, empowering organizations to establish structured frameworks like SMART goals and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), alongside continuous feedback loops to maximize talent potential. Operating primarily as a private entity in the highly competitive business and productivity software sector, Keka achieved significant scale through organic growth and product-led word-of-mouth. By 2019, the company surpassed $1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and subsequently saw rapid adoption during the shifting workplace dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic. While initially heavily bootstrapped, Keka successfully raised $1.6 million in non-dilutive funding through revenue trading subscriptions via Recur Club in late 2021 and early 2022. In November 2022, the company secured a historic $57 million Series A funding round led by WestBridge Capital, marking one of the largest Series A injections for an HR tech startup in India. Financed by this backing, Keka has continued expanding its executive leadership, appointing industry experts to drive strategic product engineering and international scaling. As of its fiscal performance reporting for FY24, the company recorded operational revenues of INR 78 crore, actively servicing a global customer base of over 10,000 organizations and employing a workforce of over 900 professionals across its primary offices.
