Livspace is a prominent technology-driven home interior design and renovation platform that operates as a three-sided marketplace, connecting homeowners with certified interior designers, contractors, and suppliers. Founded in July 2014 by IIT Kanpur alumni Anuj Srivastava (formerly of Google) and Ramakant Sharma (formerly of Myntra), the company has transformed a traditionally fragmented home remodeling market into a structured, scalable, and omnichannel ecosystem. Initially launched in India with its headquarters in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Livspace has expanded significantly, establishing its corporate headquarters in Singapore and extending its operational footprint into Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. The company's core business model blends a comprehensive digital workflow with physical touchpoints. At the heart of its operations is Canvas, a proprietary design-to-installation automation platform that enables 2D and 3D visualization, budget tracking, procurement, and project scheduling. This technology ensures design fidelity and reduces typical renovation cost overruns. To complement its digital platform, Livspace operates over 22 large-scale Experience Centres (ranging from 15,000 to 25,000+ square feet) across major Indian metro areas, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune. These centers provide customers with tactile validation of modular fittings and materials. Livspace offers two primary service verticals for residential consumers: Livspace Select, which focuses on budget-friendly, customizable modular products like kitchens, wardrobes, and TV units, and Livspace Vesta, which provides full-home, end-to-end interior transformations. Its service delivery includes civil work, false ceiling installation, painting, electrical work, plumbing, flooring, and tiling. The company stands out in the market by offering a 45-day move-in guarantee for modular offerings and extended warranties of up to 10 years. In 2022, Livspace expanded its services into commercial interiors, catering to offices, retail spaces, hospitality, and warehousing sectors. It also maintains a strategic partnership with IKEA in Singapore to deliver integrated renovation services. Financially, Livspace achieved unicorn status in February 2022 following a $180 million Series F funding round led by KKR. The company has raised over $512 million in total funding from prominent institutional investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Jungle Ventures, Helion Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, TPG Growth, and Ingka Ventures (the investment arm of IKEA). With a valuation exceeding $1.2 billion, the company employs thousands of people and collaborates with a network of over 3,500 certified designers and 3,000 vetted suppliers. Led by its founding team, Livspace continues to integrate predictive AI inventory controls and supply chain logistics to streamline the interior design lifecycle and maintain its position as a market leader in the construction technology and retail space.
