NIRAMAI Health Analytix Private Limited is an innovative, Bangalore-based deep-tech healthcare startup dedicated to revolutionizing breast cancer detection. Founded in July 2016 by Dr. Geetha Manjunath and Nidhi Mathur, the company addresses one of the most critical challenges in modern women's healthcare by offering an automated, low-cost, and highly accurate screening solution. The name Niramai stands for Non-Invasive Risk Assessment with Machine Intelligence, reflecting its core mission to create a universal, accessible cancer screening method that can save lives globally. At the center of Niramai's technology is its proprietary diagnostic platform, Thermalytix. Unlike traditional mammography, which can be painful, expensive, radiation-heavy, and heavily infrastructure-dependent, Thermalytix provides a completely contact-free, non-touch, and non-invasive breast health screening test. The system utilizes a high-resolution thermal sensing device to capture temperature variations across the breast tissue and then applies advanced artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and machine learning algorithms to detect subtle heat patterns or abnormal color points associated with malignant tumors. This unique approach allows for early-stage detection before a lump can be felt physically, works effectively for women of all age groups, and ensures total privacy during the screening process. Additionally, the company developed the SMILE-100 system, an AI-powered system that received prestigious US FDA clearance, alongside CE Marking clearance for the European market. Niramai operates primarily through a business-to-business (B2B) model, generating income from the sale and deployment of its patented screening systems to healthcare institutions, primary clinics, diagnostic laboratories, and hospitals. Its commercial model encompasses equipment sales paired with ongoing maintenance service contracts, alongside flexible revenue-sharing agreements where diagnostic centers pay as and when the tool is utilized. To maximize social impact and democratize healthcare, Niramai collaborates extensively with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government bodies, and corporate clients to organize portable breast health screening camps in rural regions, community centers, and corporate offices. Financially, Niramai is positioned as a Series A stage company, having raised approximately 8.63 million USD across multiple funding rounds. Its prominent investor base includes 500 Global, Ankur Capital, Axilor Ventures, pi Ventures, BEENEXT, and Dream Incubator. The company has gained significant international traction, expanding its commercial footprint to more than 22 countries. To date, Niramai's highly portable and scalable systems have been used to screen over 300,000 women and execute more than 10,000 screening camps worldwide. Headquartered in Koramangala, Bengaluru, the company also maintains an active international presence through its legal entity, Niramai Health Analytix UK Ltd. Backed by dozens of granted patents and over 55 clinically reviewed publications, Niramai continues to be recognized globally, earning numerous prestigious honors such as the National Startup Award, World Bank Global Women's Health Award, Commonwealth Digital Health Award, and selection in the Google Launchpad Accelerator program.
