Nuvama Wealth Management Limited (formerly known as Edelweiss Securities Limited) is a premier Indian multinational financial services company specializing in comprehensive wealth management, asset management, and capital market solutions. Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company has established a prominent footprint across India, operating out of more than 100 offices in over 11 major cities, while also serving international clients through strategic hubs in financial centers like Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The company's origins date back to August 1993, when it was incorporated as Kayjay Financial Research Services Private Limited. Over the next three decades, it underwent several corporate realignments and name changes, reflecting its evolving business scope and ownership structures. It was renamed KJS Securities Private Limited in 1998, followed by Rooshnil Securities Private Limited later that same year. In 2002, the firm was acquired by the Edelweiss Group, leading to its rebranding as Edelweiss Securities Limited in 2004. A major turning point arrived in 2021 when PAG, a leading Asia-focused multinational investment firm, acquired a controlling majority stake in the business from the Edelweiss Group. This transition culminated in the company being rebranded as Nuvama Wealth Management Limited in August 2022 and its subsequent public listing on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in September 2023 under the ticker NUVAMA. As of 2025, PAG remains the promoter and primary owner, holding an approximate 54.74% stake in the enterprise. Operationally, Nuvama functions through an integrated ecosystem divided into four main business pillars:1. Wealth Management: Serving over 1.3 million affluent individuals and more than 4,750 high-net-worth (HNI) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNI) family offices, this division offers bespoke investment advisory, financial product distribution, estate planning, and lending against securities. 2. Asset Management: Through Nuvama Asset Management, the firm manages alternative investment funds (AIFs) and portfolio management services (PMS) across public markets, private markets, and commercial real estate. 3. Capital Markets: This segment includes Nuvama Institutional Equities, delivering equity research and institutional broking services to over 1,000 domestic and international institutional clients. 4. Asset Services: This vertical provides vital clearing, custody, fund accounting, and compliance reporting services to financial institutions.Financially, Nuvama has demonstrated exceptional growth. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, the company reported a consolidated revenue from operations of INR 2,901 crore and a net income of INR 986 crore. By June 2025, its total Assets Under Management (AUM) reached approximately INR 4.6 trillion (US$48 billion). Backed by a strong workforce of over 3,400 employees and led by Managing Director and CEO Ashish Kehair alongside Chairperson Birendra Kumar, Nuvama holds high credit ratings including AA- from CRISIL and A1+ from ICRA, solidifying its position as a trusted partner in wealth preservation and capital market access.
