QpiAI (QpiAI India Private Limited) is a Bangalore-based deep-tech company pioneering the convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing. Founded in November 2019 by Indian quantum physicist and technologist Dr. Nagendra Nagaraja, the company operates as a subsidiary of Qpi Technology. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, QpiAI has expanded its footprint globally with offices in the United States and Finland. The company's core mission is to engineer and deploy application-first computational systems that harness the optimal convergence of AI, Quantum Computing, and High-Performance Computing (HPC), providing practical quantum advantages for real-world industrial and scientific challenges. QpiAI is distinguished by its vertically integrated stack, enabling seamless innovation across quantum hardware, scalable control software, and enterprise applications. A landmark milestone for the company occurred on World Quantum Day (April 14, 2025) when it launched QpiAI-Indus, India's first indigenous, full-stack 25-qubit superconducting quantum computer. Developed under the leadership of Dr. Nagaraja and supported by India's National Quantum Mission (NQM) under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), QpiAI-Indus features a transmon qubit processor integrated with an HPC datacenter to support hybrid quantum-classical workflows. As part of its aggressive technology roadmap, the startup aims to scale its hardware capabilities to next-generation systems, targeting the 64-qubit "Kaveri" system, a 128-qubit "Ganges" system, and a 1,000-qubit fault-tolerant quantum computer "Everest" by 2030. Beyond core hardware development, QpiAI offers an extensive portfolio of software products, platforms, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) models tailored for complex B2B and B2C enterprise workflows. Its product ecosystem includes QpiAI-Quantum, an end-to-end cloud platform featuring a developer SDK and simulators; QpiAI-Opt, a powerful mathematical optimization engine; QpiAI-Pro, a generative AI development suite; and specialized industrial applications such as QpiAI-Logistics for supply chain and route optimization, QpiAI-Pharma for drug discovery and molecular simulations, and QpiAI-Matter for materials science. These products cater to critical sectors including automotive, aerospace, life sciences, finance, telecommunications, and climate modeling. Notably, the company’s solutions have reduced digital crash simulation times in automotive design from 48 hours to just 30 minutes. Financially, QpiAI operates as a revenue-generating private entity. The company has raised substantial capital to accelerate its utility-scale infrastructure, closing a $6.5 million pre-Series A funding round in June 2024 led by YourNest and SIDBI Venture Capital, followed by a major $32 million funding influx in July 2025 from Avataar Ventures and NQM. As of March 2026, the deep-tech firm employs a multidisciplinary team of approximately 134 experts spanning AI, semiconductors, microelectronics, device physics, and quantum hardware. QpiAI also collaborates strategically with industrial giants like L&T-Cloudfiniti to advance national quantum adoption programs and cultivate one of the world's largest quantum talent ecosystems.
