Reliance Digital is an Indian consumer electronics retailer and a division of Reliance Retail Limited, which is a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Reliance Industries Limited. Founded in 2007 by Mukesh Ambani and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company has grown to become India's largest specialist omni-channel retailer in the consumer electronics sector. The brand opened its inaugural store on April 24, 2007, at Shipra Mall in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, within the Delhi National Capital Region, introducing a customer-centric model with dedicated zones for product demonstrations and expert consultations. The company operates a massive retail footprint across India. Together with MyJio stores, the network encompasses over 8,600 locations across more than 800 cities. Strategically located in high-traffic malls and prime high streets within metropolitan areas and Tier-1 cities, flagship Reliance Digital stores optimize for substantial footfall, while smaller integrated formats extend the brand's reach into more remote pockets of the country. This extensive network serves as a critical distribution platform for both national and international brands. Reliance Digital houses an inventory of over 5,000 products from more than 200 global brands. Its extensive product range spans multiple categories, including personal devices like mobile phones, laptops, and tablets; home appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines; entertainment systems including large-screen televisions and home audio systems; and cameras and high-tech accessories. In October 2011, Reliance Digital launched its private label branded "RECONNECT," which covers over 200 value-driven items ranging from smartphones to electronic accessories. The retailer also carries the LYF brand of 4G smartphones. To maintain its market leadership, Reliance Digital seamlessly integrates its physical stores with a robust online presence through its website. Customers shopping online can choose features like immediate in-store pickup or express delivery within 48 hours, supported by flexible payment methods including EMIs, credit cards, UPI, and cash-on-delivery. Reliance Digital's online platform generated revenues of approximately US$ 2,138 million in 2025. A key differentiator for the retailer is its dedicated service arm, Reliance ResQ. As an ISO 9001-certified electronics service brand, ResQ functions as a multi-product, multi-brand, and multi-location service network. It addresses post-purchase needs, offering end-to-end product lifecycle solutions including personalized delivery, installation, maintenance, repairs, and extended warranty programs. Led by Chief Executive Brian Bade, who has steered the company since August 2010, Reliance Digital remains the top-ranked specialist electronics retailer in India, competing alongside major players like Croma, Vijay Sales, and Unicorn.
