Shiprocket is a prominent Indian e-commerce enablement and logistics platform that provides tech-driven shipping, fulfillment, and post-purchase solutions designed primarily for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, entrepreneurs, and large retailers. Founded originally in 2011 as KartRocket by Saahil Goel, Gautam Kapoor, and Vishesh Khurana, the company initially focused on helping merchants set up online websites. Recognizing the deep logistical friction faced by independent digital sellers in India, the company pivoted and launched Shiprocket in 2017 as a logistics aggregator. Operating under its registered corporate entity, Shiprocket Limited (formerly Bigfoot Retail Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), the company is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, with its registered office in New Delhi. The core business model of Shiprocket centers on democratizing access to enterprise-grade supply chain infrastructure for smaller digital retailers. Through its automated, AI-powered platform, merchants can integrate their online storefronts—across popular e-commerce marketplaces and websites—to seamlessly manage orders, schedule pickups, print shipping labels, and track shipments from a unified dashboard. A cornerstone of Shiprocket's software is its machine-learning-based data engine, which automatically analyzes factors such as package weight, destination, and historical courier performance to recommend the optimal shipping partner for every order. To offer comprehensive domestic and cross-border coverage, Shiprocket integrates with over 42 reliable courier partners (including Delhivery, Shadowfax, Blue Dart, and DTDC), enabling sellers to reach more than 19,000 pin codes across India and over 220 countries and territories worldwide. Beyond core shipping aggregation, Shiprocket has systematically expanded into an end-to-end e-commerce enablement ecosystem. This includes Shiprocket Fulfillment, which offers a nationwide network of tech-enabled warehouses and fulfillment centers where merchants can store inventory closer to their end consumers to facilitate rapid, cost-effective deliveries. The company also offers localized packaging solutions, checkout optimization services to maximize conversion rates, buyer communication tools, automated cash-on-delivery address verification, and financial products like capital and credit access. Financially, Shiprocket is classified as a public limited, non-government company. It has experienced rapid growth, achieving unicorn status and reaching a valuation of approximately $1.3 billion following successive later-stage venture capital rounds. The company has raised over $322 million in total funding from a high-profile roster of institutional and corporate investors, including Temasek Holdings, Bertelsmann India Investments, PayPal Ventures, Tribe Capital, Info Edge, and Zomato. For the financial year ending March 31, 2025, Shiprocket generated more than ₹1,000 crore in operational revenue. The executive leadership team is spearheaded by Co-Founder, Managing Director, and CEO Saahil Goel, alongside Co-Founder and Executive Director Gautam Kapoor, driving the platform to power roughly 4% to 5% of all independent e-commerce transactions in India.
