Suzlon Energy Limited is an Indian multinational renewable energy solutions provider and wind turbine manufacturer. Founded in 1995 by the late Tulsi Tanti, who is widely recognized as "The Father of Indian Renewable Energy," the company is headquartered at its Platinum LEED-certified and GRIHA 5-star rated "One Earth" campus in Pune, Maharashtra. Over its three decades of operation, Suzlon has established itself as India's number one renewable energy company and a prominent player in the global clean energy sector. The company's core operations span the entire wind energy value chain. It specializes in the design, development, manufacturing, project execution, installation, and dedicated life-cycle operation and maintenance (O&M) of wind turbine generators (WTGs) and related renewable energy components. Suzlon operates as a vertically integrated manufacturer, producing all major equipment internally, including rotor blades, tubular towers, generators, control systems, and nacelles. Its diverse product portfolio features highly efficient platforms like the S120, S133, and S144 WTGs, alongside cutting-edge advancements such as the S175 5 MW series—India's tallest and most powerful wind turbine—and the "Blue Sky" product platform tailored for international markets. Suzlon has established an expansive global footprint across six continents, deploying assets in 17 countries including prominent markets across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, North America, and South America. Worldwide, the Suzlon Group manages a massive portfolio of over 21,700 MW of renewable energy assets and services more than 1,900 clients. In its domestic market of India, the company maintains a commanding leadership position, managing a service portfolio of over 15.1 GW. It is credited with developing several of Asia's largest operational onshore wind farms, notably the Jaisalmer Wind Park in Rajasthan and the Kutch facility in Gujarat, both of which feature cumulative installations exceeding 1,100 MW. Beyond wind turbine manufacturing, the company has transitioned into a holistic "Full Stack RE" partner, offering integrated clean energy systems combining wind, solar, and energy storage solutions. Its RE DevCo division assists clients from early-stage site assessment and project planning to grid connectivity approvals, minimizing deployment risks. Financially, Suzlon Energy Limited is publicly traded on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Following strategic debt restructuring and equity infusions over the years, the company operates with an almost debt-free balance sheet. Its market capitalization has crossed the INR 1 lakh crore milestone, supported by strong trailing twelve months (TTM) financial results showing revenue of INR 16,679 crore and a net income of INR 3,163 crore. Supported by a workforce of over 8,500 experts and global R&D centers, Suzlon continues to scale its pipeline through major commercial milestones, such as crossing a 1 GW partnership project with Tata Power.
