A pivotal milestone in Tech Mahindra’s growth trajectory occurred in 2009 when it emerged as the highest bidder for a controlling stake in Satyam Computer Services following a major corporate scandal. Satyam was initially rebranded as Mahindra Satyam and was formally merged with Tech Mahindra in June 2013. This landmark merger significantly diversified the company's revenue mix, transforming it from a telecommunications-centric vendor into an all-encompassing global IT powerhouse, solidifying its position as one of the top five IT services firms in India. Today, Tech Mahindra boasts a truly global footprint, operating in more than 90 countries and serving over 1,100 global clients, including numerous Fortune 500 enterprises. As of recent fiscal records, the company employs over 148,000 professionals worldwide. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, Tech Mahindra reported a consolidated revenue from operations of INR 56,847 crore and a net income of INR 4,805 crore.
